A tech person from Australia.

I’m interested in many things:

• programming, and open source software development
• infrastructure as code and declarative, reproducible deployment
• data storage, in all areas along the way from physical medium to interface to high level abstraction
• networking: segmentation, tunneling and overlay networks, routing protocols
• operating systems
• computing hardware, from mini PCs to ATX to server chassis

Sometimes, this interest won’t necessarily extend to most consumer tech like wearables, entertainment platforms or productivity devices.

Having worked in the field of video post-production for a long time, I also stay roughly tuned to developments in cinema camera video formats, digital storage, image science, team workflows, and other technological advancements in that space.

I believe in freedom of information and knowledge, and love sharing with, and teaching others, where I can.

In a work context, I am a Linux system administrator and software engineer.
